Hello autumn and hello spooky season! The best season of all in my opinion. With spooky season comes that long list of halloween inspired activities, with pumpkin picking being the most poignant. If like me you have young children, or maybe you're in a search to find that perfectly autumnal insta-worthy pumpkin patch, I've got you covered. Here's my list for pumpkin picking close to Teesside.

Pumpkin Picking Near Teesside

1. Pontac Pumpkins - Redcar

  • Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October. Friday 25th - Thursday 31st October
  • £11 per vehicle (redeemable against pumpkins on the day)

2. Down At The Farm - Houghton le Spring

Grab a wheelbarrow and get pumpkin picking down at the farm. Enjoy their new spooky castle maze and embrace all things spooky with face painting with Barbara.

3. Brocksbrushes -Northumberland

Go all out at Brocksbrushes this year with their pyo pumpkin patch, funfair rides, face painting, marshmallow toasting halloween extravaganza! There's plenty of photo ops here as well as a spooktacular tattoo parlour and halloween games to be had by all.
  • Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th October. Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th October. Friday 18th - Thursday 31th October
  • £2 entry for everyone aged 3+ (this is not redeemable against any pumpkins bought)

4. East Grange Farm - Durham

Dates and information has not yet been revealed. However it is due very soon!

5. Baydale Pumpkin Patch - Darlington

Enjoy 7 acres of home grown pumpkins down at Baydale Pumpkin Patch. Booking isn't required so this is a great one if you're a bit more go with the flow. Discover all 12 varieties of pumpkins here at Baydale with prices starting from £2 per pumpkin.
  • Free entry - No ticket required

6. Tweddle Farm - Hartlepool

Tweddle Farm is a classic family day out for those of us in Teesside. On select dates you'll also be able to tie in pumpkin picking with your visit as well as being able to enjoy the whole farm.

Join us as we step back in time to the dino-filled Teessaurus Park, nestled right in the industrial heart of Teesside. This historical, fun for all the family day out is FREE and a great way to spend the afternoon with your family in Teesside. The History of Teessaurus Park The park first began its life in 1979 when commissioning sculptor Genevieve Glatt created a £16,000 life sized triceratops named Teessaurus .
